NW Youth Career Expo
MFG 21 is one of the primary sponsors of an expo showcasing career and skill-building opportunities. The Portland School District bused in a few hundred students to the first expo, with industry footing the bill for the bus rentals. Now known as the NW Youth Careers Expo, nearly 5,000 metro-area students attended the 2007 career fair. The teens tested their skills at welding, bulldozer driving, maneuvering a robotic arm and other hands-on demonstrations.
